Hello! Happy Easter! I hope you're enjoying the long weekend. I've made a card for one of the mums in my NCT group who has had her baby (which made things seem very real!!). She collects rubber ducks so I thought this stamp set with its little ducks image would be perfect for her! I've used this weeks Freshly Made Sketch which I flipped about a bit, and I'm also entering this into this weeks Simon Says challenge which is Animal Antics. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!
Supplies; Stamps, dies & sentiment - Simon Says Stamp 'Baby Love' Paper - Carta Bella 'Baby Mine Girl' Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Pink Pirouette' Other - Copics, corner punch, ribbon from stash & MME enamel dots
Hello! I hope you're having a good weekend so far! I'm back to show this card I made last night for this weeks My Favourite Things Sketch and The Card Concept challenge of a Butterfly theme. I think I've gone with the Clean & Layered style again - it always seems to be what I like making most, lots of lovely patterned papers but not too fussy! :-) The butterfly is clear embossed so it's nice and shiny. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!
Supplies; Papers - Basic Grey 'Fresh Cut' Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Island Indigo' Stamp - My Favourite Things 'Inspred by Butterflies' Dies - My Favourite Things 'Inspred by Butterflies' & 'Sentiment Strips', circle & square Nestabilities Sentiment - Personal Impressions 'Wording Stamps' Ink - VersaColour 'Camelia' Other -clear embossing powder, black gel pen & black gems
Evening all! I hope you've had a good week! I re-claimed my craft room last night after it became a storage room while we decorated our bedroom! It's all lovely and finished now so I have my little space back and I made this card. It's for my Brother-in-laws birthday next month. There's a few steps to how I made the beer glass so I'll explain - if you're interested! ;-) I started with some Crushed Curry card stock and matching ink which I smooshed onto my craft sheet. I then mixed in some white embossing paste to make it a paler version of the card stock colour. I used the Falling Snow stencil and the now yellow embossing paste to make beer bubbles in the glass. When that was dry, I cut it to size, inked the edges with more Crushed Curry ink and then gave it a few spritzes of Colour Shine Gold spray. The Cheers was cut out 5 times, glued together in a stack and covered with Wink of Stellar in gold. I'm going to enter this into this weeks CASology challenge of Wet and also this months Virginia's View challenge of Stencils. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!
Supplies; Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Crushed Curry' Paper - Lawn Fawn 'Let's Polka' Die - My Favourite Things 'Celabratory Greetings' Stencil - Simon Says Stamp 'Falling Snow' Other - Wink of Stellar 'Gold', Heidi Swapp Colour Shine 'Gold Lame', Dreamweaver Embossing paste 'Glossy White' & a black gel pen for the edges.
Hiya! When I said on my last post I was starting 2014 Christmas cards, I didn't actually mean I was going to be making them all now! But then I was inspired by a couple of challenges and I've made this card. I saw this weeks Less is More challenge of Round and Round and imagined a circle within a circle, nothing else was coming though. Then today I saw the new Merry Monday challenge of Mistletoe and 'ding!' ;-) I've used this weeks Dynamic Duos colours again, although this time with Real Red as my second colour. Thanks for looking!
Supplies; Dies - Circle Nestabilities & CC Designs 'Mistletoe' Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Real Red', 'Garden Green' & 'Naturals White' Ink - Stampin' Up 'Real Red' & 'Garden Green' Sentiment - Papertrey Ink 'Think Big Favourites #21' Other - Natural twine & adhesive pearls
Hiya! Happy Mothers Day to all the UK mums! I hope you're being spoilt - or at least being given some peace ;-) I'm here with the start to my 2014 Christmas cards, its for this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I've followed the sketch pretty much to the letter, as soon as I saw
the die image on the sketch, I couldn't get my brain to think of
anything else - so I went with it! I did a bit of embossing and partial die cutting to
achieve the result. And I've combined it with this weeks Dynamic Duos colours. I didn't have Gumball Green though so I used Garden Green and combined it with Night of Navy. There's some Wink of Stellar glitter on the falling snow and the white trees & houses but I don't think the photo picked it up. Thanks for looking!
Supplies; Dies - Nestabilites 'Squares', Memory Box 'Country Landscape' & Poppy Stamps 'Pine Tree border' Sentiment - Papertrey Ink 'Mixed Messages' Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Garden Green' & 'Night of Navy' Ink - Stampin' Up 'Garden Green' Other - Wink of Stellar clear glitter pen & Cuttlebug 'Snowflakes' embossing folder
Hiya! I hope you're enjoying the weekend so far. I'm back with a card I've made for Jamie's mum, using this weeks MFT Sketch. She retired just over a year ago and has recently been learning to sew. The new Carta Bella pad is perfect for cards for her so I made a full-on sewing themed card! The stitched sentiment is one I made on the PC, printed out and pierced holes through to the pink paper, then just sewed through them - easy peasy! I didn't actually end up using any MFT goodies on the front of my card, just a couple of dies on the inside. This is also for this weeks Simon Says Stamp challenge of Buttons. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!
Supplies; Sentiment stamps - Papertrey Ink 'Keep it Simple: Birthday Mini' Paper - Carta Bella 'Sew Lovely' Dies - Nestabilities 'Labels #14', MFT 'Button Quartet' & Lil' Inker 'Stitched Mats: Rectangles' Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Island Indigo' Ribbon - Stampin' Up 'Island Indigo' Other - printed sentiment in Cotton Candy font, white thread & various buttons
Hiya! My evening did go to plan last night so I made this card for the PTI March Blog Hop! I always mean to join in but usually forget or the mojo does a runner! But here we are! This months theme is High Gloss. I hope my various glossy bits show in the pics - they were not easy to take! ;-) But the outer hexagons are clear embossed, as is the sentiment, there's acetate on the shaker panel and of course the shimmery, shiny sequins! I've also used the colours in this weeks Dynamic Duos challenge. I hope you like it, thanks for hopping by!
Me again! I've got a card to share for 3 challenges. Firstly this weeks The Card Concept challenge. It's the first time I've joined in this challenge but I think my card is a Clean & Layered style? I could be wrong! It's also for this weeks Paper Players sketch and Simon Says Stamp which is Glitter It. I took the colours and flowers from the inspiration photo along with the woodgrain in the background, coloured the middle of the flowers for a bit more definition then added glitter to the centres. Thanks for stopping in, if my evening goes to plan I'll be back tomorrow for the Papertrey Blog Hop!
