Sympathy card

Hiya! I hope you're enjoying this hot weather we're having! I'm loving it but then again we have been lent an air-con unit for nighttime :-) I'm back again with a card for a few challenges. It's always good to have a sympathy card or 2 on hand so when I saw the CAS on Sunday challenge of Sympathy , I thought I'd join in. I've also made it for this weeks Freshly Made sketch, The Paper Players theme of CAS & Monochromatic colour scheme and the Simon Says Stamp challenge which is embossing. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Friday, 18 July 2014 anyone there?! :-)

Hiya! Long time, no blog! The last 7 weeks with my little girl have been amazing but a very steep learning curve; no time for eating or showering most days let alone crafting! ;-) But the fog is lifting now and I actually got into my craft room a few times this week! I'm very rusty and this card isn't my best but I need to start again somewhere. It's using a very old stamp and some hoarded papers. I've made it for this weeks CASology challenge of Pet, this weeks Fusion sketch and the Simon Says Stamp challenge of Spots & Dots. Thanks for looking, hopefully I'll be back soon!

Hello! If you're a reader of this blog you'll have probably guessed the reason for my sudden blogging break, I've had my baby! :-) Elsie May arrived on May 29th and we are besotted with her! I can't see too much card making happening over the next couple of weeks so who knows when I'll be back but it hopefully won't be too long. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi again! As promised I'm back with another card, this is my second post today, if you want to see the first it's *here*.
I've made another baby card, not that I need this one, everyone around me has had their babies!! It's funny what starts a card off sometimes, when I got the gold card out this morning I found this scrap of chevron paper and it sparked this off! Awesome Amazing Happy Birthday!

Hiya! This might be the first of a couple of posts, J is working today and I'm a bit bored so I might enter a few challenges. This card is for this weeks Case Study challenge. Widas card really caught my eye but isn't really a style I feel I can pull off so I simplified it a bit. I used the layout,  cut up sentiments, black & white stripes in the backgroud and vellum butterflies. I'm also going to enter into this weeks Less is More challenge of Die Cuts. I hope you like it, maybe catch you later :-)

Sentiment - Winnie & Walter 'The Big, the Bold & the Happy' & 'The Big, the Bold & You'
Paper - My Minds Eye 'Cut & Paste: Flair'

Birthday bunting!

Hello! Yep, still no baby! Getting a weeny bit fidgety now, I won't lie! Oh well, I'll just have to keep myself busy, I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my craft room and card challenges! :-D Speaking of which, I'm back with a card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketch and also this weeks Colour  Q colours, although I seem to have added an extra pink and the blue isn't that close but hopefully they're there! I'm also entering this as an Anything Goes card for Seize the Birthday.
I've used some older stash for this card, I'm trying to make sure I use everything in my stash at least once so I've made a challenge for myself. I wrote down all my stamp sets, put them in a jar and once a week, I pick one out and have to use that stamp set. If I find I don't like it or want to, then I have to eBay it. We'll see how it goes! This bunting stamp was what got picked out today and I'm glad it did! I hope you're enjoying the Bank Holiday! Thanks for visiting!
I pierced some holes and threaded the twine over the bunting strings, just for a bit of texture :-)

Stamp - Stamposaurus 'Bunting'
Paper - October Afternoon 'Sidewalks'
Ink - Versafine 'Onyx Black' & Distress Ink 'Old Paper'
Sentiment - Papertrey Ink 'Keep it Simple: Birthday'
Other - black gel pen & ivory twine

Christmas Flowers!

Hello! I hope you're enjoying the start of a long weekend (if you're in the UK). I'm back again today with another card. There's a few floral challenges about, one of which is a Christmas one so I thought I'd break out this Poinsettia die I haven't used in a while. I inked up the veins of the petals using the die itself and the matching ink to the cardstock. There's also some gold mist on the cream panel, hopefully it shows in the photo. I've used this weeks Merry Monday theme of Flowers along with this weeks Wanna Sketch? and Just Add Inks Colour theme challenge. I'm also going to enter in the current CASology challenge and Paper Players challenges, both of which are Flower/s. Phew, that's a lot of challenges! I hope you like it though, thanks for visiting! Have a great weekend!

Die - Spellbinders 'Poinsettia'
Paper - Simple Stories 'Handmade Holiday'
Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Baked Brown Suagr', 'Cherry Cobbler', 'Garden Green' & 'Naturals White'
Ink - Stampin' Up 'Cherry Cobbler', 'Garden Green' & Delicata 'Golden Glitz'
Sentiment - Papertrey Ink 'Framed Out #8'
Other - Heidi Swapp Colour Shine mist 'Gold Lame' & gold glitter dot
